What happens under the hood.

    Connect your account

    Paste an API token from DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Vultr or Linode. Cloudnan validates it and stores it encrypted.

  2. 02

    Pick region, size and image

    Live regions, sizes and prices come straight from your provider, in your provider's currency.

  3. 03

    Optional undo-ready volume

    Attach a small block volume for faster undo and instant database snapshots. Billed by your provider.

  4. 04

    Server boots in your account

    The server is created in your account with your SSH keys. It is yours: visible in your provider console and on your invoice.

  5. 05

    Agent installs itself

    Cloud-init installs the Cloudnan agent at first boot. It connects outbound over mTLS; no inbound ports.

  6. 06

    Managed from day one

    Monitoring, backups, security scanning, undo and the AI Server Doctor are active as soon as the agent connects.

FAQ

Common questions.

Who bills me for the server?
Your cloud provider, directly, at their normal price. Cloudnan only bills its own subscription. There is no markup and no Cloudnan wallet involved.
Which providers are supported?
DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Vultr and Linode. For any other provider, or a dedicated box, use Bring your own server: one install command on any Linux server.
What happens if I cancel Cloudnan?
Your servers stay in your cloud account and keep running. Uninstall the agent and you have a normal server again.
What permissions does the API token need?
Read and write access to servers, plus volumes if you want undo-ready storage. The connect screen links to each provider's token page.
